Zune - the iPod killer
Ok, e al treilea post pe luna asta legat de Microsoft... probabil ca ar trebui sa ma opresc aici. Insa nu inainte de a va anunta ca Microsoft lanseaza Zune - un mp3 player care combina avantajele iPod-ului cu lectia invatata din Web 2.0

Adevarul e ca am fost si sunt un mare fan Apple pentru simplicitatea si eleganta design-ului (si da, mi-am comandat un iPod nano din ziua in care a fost lansat pe piata). Si am fost multa vreme frustrat de faptul ca Microsoft, ca si companie, vine mereu dupa Apple in acest domeniu.
De data aceasta insa, colegii de la Zune mi-au intrecut asteptarile:
"Zune includes a 30GB digital media player, the Zune Marketplace music service and a foundation for an online community that will enable music fans to discover new music. The Zune device features wireless technology, a built-in FM tuner and a bright, 3-inch screen that allows users to not only show off music, pictures and video, but also to customize the experience with personal pictures or themes to truly make the device their own. Zune comes in three colors: black, brown and white.
Every Zune device creates an opportunity for connection. Wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing lets consumers spontaneously share full-length sample tracks of select songs, homemade recordings, playlists or pictures with friends between Zune devices. "

design dragut, specificatii ok (imi place ideea interconectarii a doua playere si posibilitatea conectarii wireless cu pc-ul!) insa pretul la care va aparea ar trebui sa fie sub pretul concurentei! (am vazut "zvonuri" de 299-399$. e corect?)

Bogdan: in privinta pretului (lucru valabil de altfel pentru orice zvon), cei care au informatia nu pot sa spuna, iar cei care spun, de obicei doar speculeaza.
Iulian: Cristi Manafu si cu mine venim din unghiuri diferite: el dezamagit de design, eu entuziasmat de tehnologie. Evident, amadoi avem dreptate :-)

eduard, merg pe mana ta oricand e vorba de chestiuni tehnice. si cred ca impartasim si gusturi comune... asta a fost for the record.
nu spun ca imi displace design-ul Zune, ci doar ca asteptam mai mult de la the ipod killer!

Scuze, am fost putin ambiguu: nici eu nu am fost dat pe spate de designul Zune. Exact cum ai spus tu, e ok, insa nu exceleaza. Iar faptul ca e atat de asemanator cu iPod... hmmm...
Punctul pe care vroiam sa-l fac era ca tu si cu mine ne uitam la doua aspecte total diferite - de aici tonul usor sceptic din postul tau, si usor entuziast dintr-al meu.

de fapt va deranjeaza asemanarea cu iPod-ul, nu ca e un design urat/nereusit/etc :)

MI se pare interesant, desi trebuie sa recunosc ca nu m-as grabi sa-l cumpar. Cel putin nu in primele luni.
Asa ca mai astept...sa vad ce probleme are :)
