La cateva zile dupa ce Doris Lessing castiga Premiul Nobel pentru literatura pe 2007, New York Times ii republica un eseu datand din 1992 despre comunism si political correctness. Iata cateva extrase:

In situatia in care nu ai citit cartea "Apel catre lichele" de Gabriel Liiceanu, ti-o recomand cu caldura.
Gasesti aici efectele comunismului asupra "coloanei vertebrale" a societatii in care ne-am nascut.
